Be happy. Stay healthy

Perhaps the greatest luxury at the resort is that, at just about any time of the day during the week, none of the facilities are ever that busy. Whatever your sport or interest, whether you're a drop-in or a regular, the vibe is always welcoming and relaxed.

Golf. The true centerpiece of ORI is the executive Par 3 golf course that runs through the entire center of the resort. With 18 holes it's the perfect place to perfect your short game. A complete round takes between 90 minutes and two hours. Beyond personal play, there are golf events every week and with several larger tournaments throughout the season. Players of all abilities are welcomed and it's a very comfortable environment to learn the game or return to it if you haven't played in a while. Best of all there are no green fees and generally little wait to get onto the tees. Recently, two driving cages were added next to the putting green for pre-game warm-ups.

Pickleball. About ten years ago ORI installed six lighted pickleball courts and, as one ORI owner put it, "there's the the soft sound of happiness" as you hear the balls go back and forth. There is a pickleball group for those interested in organized play, with a very modest annual fee (to help cover the supplied balls). Like golf, our pickleballers welcome everyone from novices to competitive players and there is a great feeling of inclusion that respects everyone's abilities. Having fun is prioritized above competitiveness with laughter, fellowship and good exercise.

Swimming. There are four pool complexes throughout the resort. At the clubhouse is a four lane lap pool, indoor and outdoor spas, and wading pool. All three satellite facilities have smaller pools, spas, and saunas. The main pool also hosts water aerobic classes in the morning and is generally always uncrowded for lane swimming.

Tennis. With all the emphasis on pickleball, ORI's two tennis courts are now a bit quieter. What that means is access throughout the day is excellent. Like the pickleball courts the north/south orientation of the courts helps minimize the low winter sun angle for better ball visibility.

Exercise Room.
Located in the clubhouse our exercise room has a well-maintained collection of treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and weight machines. While air-conditioned, there are also adjustable ceiling fans. The exercise room is light and bright with huge arced windows. Adjacent to the room are a dry sauna, steam room, indoor spa and locker rooms.

Exercise Classes. There are a variety of morning exercise classes that are tailored to the unique requirements of more mature bodies. They are usually held in the clubhouse ballroom.

Activities. ORI has a full time activity director who, before the winter season begins, spends a lot of time in preparing events throughout the week. At the heart of many activities is the clubhouse with a large multi-purpose ballroom, owners lounge, library, and game room.
The ballroom is used for community meetings, dinner events, lectures, and various craft activities. The smaller owners lounge is the home of movie night, poker, Mexican train, and can be booked for private get-togethers.

There are also ad-hoc and organized groups for e-biking, "topless" convertible drives, 4-wheel off-roading, hiking, and ukulele classes. Ask around and you'll usually find a book club or two.

Throughout the resort you'll see a strong commitment to meticulous landscaping, preventive maintenance, and continual cleaning of the public spaces. And all of that provides a perfect backdrop for "summer camp for adults" where the greatest risk is getting over-scheduled.
